Theatre Group To Sponsor Tumbleweed Tea Fundraiser




Pomeroy Civic Theatre will sponsor a Victorian High Tea on Sunday June 15 in the Seeley Opera House Gardens. The 2 p.m. event will feature musical and theatrical entertainment as well as traditional tea fare. The event will be the first in a series of new activities designed to get the local theatre group active again. 
Zack Lueck, local theatre aficionado and well-known chef, will be preparing the crumpets and tea tidbits to be served at the event. Beverly L. Adams-Gordon, president of the Pomeroy Civic Theatre Group, will serve as official hostess. Adams-Gordon, who soon plans to open a Tea Room and Café in the Hotel Revere Building, has been a tea enthusiast for a number of years and promises it will be an elegant affair. 
"For an enjoyable scene," Lueck, known for his Murder Mystery Dinners, said, "We hope our guests will get into the act by wearing their gloves and hats and other Victorian-style finery."
Advance tickets to the for the Tumbleweed Tea are required. Tickets will sell for $14.95 per person. Tickets may purchased individually or an entire table may be reserved. Table sizes vary from two to eight persons.
