POMEROY TUMBLEWEED FESTIVAL P.O. BOX 520, POMEROY WA 99347 www.HistoricPomeroy.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT Do Not Use After June 13, 2003 Beverly L. Adams-Gordon, Publicity Chair 509-843-5009 Street Fair Shaping Up To Be the Best in Years With additional entertainment plans still cooking and booths selling rapidly, the Tumbleweed Street Fair & Flea market is expected to be the best in years. This year's street fair booths are expected to go the entire length of 7th Street between Main and Columbia. At press time, 22 of the 30 booths available on 7th Street are sold. Among the exciting exhibitors already committed to the 2003 Tumbleweed Street Fair booths are: Wendt Pottery (hand-fired pottery), Dorothy Keener (wood crafts), Malalley's Art Gallery (hand crafted jewelry & flea market glassware), Chaq-O-Laut (chocolate specialties), Linen World Home Party dating and recruiting, Sisterella's Candles, Tastefully Simple Gourmet Packaged Foods, The Pomeroy Nazarene Youth Group, and Rim Rider's 4-H Group. While only a few have so far committed to the free booths offered to non-profit and service groups, it is hoped many more of our local service providers and organizations will take the opportunity to disseminate information about their groups and services to the public during the Street Fair. The Tumbleweed Street Fair & Flea Market will make available a new cooperative booth at this year's fair which they have dubbed the Starving Artists' Booth. The booth(s), created at the request of a local artist, will allow local artists to place their items for sale and share booth attendance duties. While the committee has not prohibited individuals from sharing booth space with others, this booth is especially designed for those who may not have enough creations to fill an entire booth on their own. The booth is for displaying and selling hand crafted and artistic creations not flea market or garage sale type items. In addition to the Street Fair and Flea Market, the 2003 Tumbleweed Festival will offer activities for all ages Friday, June 13, through Sunday, June 15. For more information, those who are interested in participating in the Cooperative Starving Artists' Booth or reserving an individual space may contact the John Gordon at 509-843-5009 or go to www.HistoricPomeroy.com where Tumbleweed Street Fair Booth applications may be downloaded. #30# Editors Please Note: The Tumbleweed Festival is sponsored by the Tumbleweed Festival Association and is not connected with or directed by any other organization.
